Mission Statement

We, the family of St. John the Evangelist Parish invite all to come together to form an active Christ-centered community of love and support.
Moved by the Holy Spirit, we strive to live the message of the Gospel by being people of hospitality, discovery, healing and prayer.
With a commitment for peace, justice, and respect for all life, we celebrate God's goodness by sharing our talents, time and treasure with each other.
In living this faith, we grow and deepen our relationship with God, our family, our community and our world.

Eucharistic Adoration

Monstrn2

"If the Blessed Sacrament were administered in one place only, and consecrated by one priest only, in the whole world, with great desire, do you think, people would run to that place and to that priest, so that they might there behold these heavenly mysteries.

St. John's Choirs

Calling All singers And Musicians

The Adult Choir is looking forward to more people joining their group.  They practice on Wednesday evenings 7:30 to 9:00 in Church.  The choir sings regularly at the 9:00 am Sunday Mass and all special events during the calendar year.  We really need more altos and men to step forward and join this important ministry.  And yes, teens are welcome to join as well.

It's time for the Handbell Choir to get back in action.  In order for this to happen, ten (10) people must sign up.  This commitment includes mandatory rehearsal and performance times.  If you think you would like to be a part of this group, call the Parish Office.

The Jubilation Choir (Grades 3 and up) will begin rehearsals in early October.  The rehearsal times are Tuesdays from 5:30 to 6:30 pm in Church.  The first rehearsal will have a brief parent meeting and scheduling discussion.

I look forward to seeing you and singing God's music.

Pastoral Council

The St. John the Evangelist Parish Pastoral Council is a consultative body which assists the Pasor in his pastoral task.  It is the goal of the Parish Pastoral Council that its membership reflects the cultural, racial, ethnic, and vocational diversity of the Parish.  However, all the members are to be a witness to the entire Parish rather than representative of a particular group.  The Parish Pastoral Council has established four commissions that are accountable to the council and are to act in accordance with its policies.

Education Commission

The purpose of the Education Commission is to offer recommendations to the Pastor regarding the various aspects of total religious education for all members of the Parish.  The function of the commission is to provide leadership, direction, and unity of purpose in the whole field of Catholic Faith Formation, formal and informal, children and adults, and to provide proper consultation before the formulation of Parish educational goals.
